Lighting is one of the sole most important factors in a aquarium environment. The proper lighting is key to keep certain inhabitants such as corals, sponges or even plants.

Metal Halide systems are great for corals that require intense lighting. SPS corals, clams, and anemones would best survive in a system with metal bulbs. Most hobbiest supplement their metal halides with actinic VHO's for a more blue look. Replacement Metal Halide Bulbs Here
